upgrading DaqMX drivers

I have built an application which is deployed to client sites built with lv 7.0 and daqMx 7.4.  The software works and the client is pleased.  I have also implemented new features in a new version of this program.  Prior to developing the new version I have upgraded my development environment to DaqMx 8.0 drivers.  After building the new application and sending it to the cilent for a trial, it didnot work at the client site.  Is this because of the fact that I built the application using DaqMx8.0 while the cilent has daqMx 7.4?  Will a driver upgrade fix this problem?  Can I make a Legal copy of my DaqMx 8.0 CD (I dont see a serial number It was free with the purchase of the board) and send the copy or does this violate a copywrite?  After the upgrade will the legacy programs which use 7.4 be backwards compatable with 8.0 or will older applications break with this new fix?  Sorry for the so many questions but any input is appreciated.

I can post the error messages if this would help.

Hey Paul-

If you are using some new feature in NI-DAQmx 8.x that was not supported in 7.4 I could forsee some problems there.  The error messages would be very helpful.

Alternatively, if you can update the driver version on the customer site it would be ideal.  NI-DAQmx 8.x is fully backwards-compatible with prior versions.  You can install the web downloadable installer freely as needed at the customer site.

Hopefully this helps-

The messages all mention "missing subvi daqMx ...(counter...)"  I am assuming that the subvis are newer functions not supported in 7.4.  The card is a 6602 and I have several tasks configured to run.  Do you have the link to the download?  Thanks.
