I am updating to LabView 2009 on a Windows XP 64-bit machine. The device drivers disk wont install on a 64 bit, but I already downloaded and installed what I needed (DAQmx, VISA, ect.) for LabVew 8.6. Do I really need to reinstall all of these, or is it posible to point Labview 2009 to the already installed software shown in MAX?
Thanks for any help here...

Hello,
There is not a way to manually point Measurement and Automation Explorer to look at the software installed on the machine. The re-install procedure would be the only option. Remember that the order of install should be LabVIEW Development >> Modules/Toolkits >> Device Drivers.
Another thing to note, Windows XP 64-bit is not a supported operating system for National Instruments software. While you may be able to install the development system and drivers, it may not behave as expected on supported operating systems. Both Windows Vista 64-bit and 7 64-bit are supported. For a 64-bit environment, we recommend Windows 7 64-bit.
Please post any further questions.
