to send data to microcontroller based device from computer

Dear sir

  I want to communicate microcontroller based device to pc directlly without using any converter.Is it possible becos voltage levels are different for pc and for microcontroller. without using converter how it would be possible,.

  Pls let me know if there will be any solution. For that i donot want any national instruments hardware card.

Hi Falgandha,

µcontroller communication is more than just voltage levels!

Have you tried to use the serial port (most pc's still have it)? There are also toolkits which use the USB port for communication...

dear sir,

i want to communicate with microcontroller via rs 232 bus but i don't was to use that max232 ic because it is taking high current in my device. So please suggest me how can i read or write data in that microcontroller based instrument via rs232 using labview

well this seems to be a hardware related question - I neither know something about your special µcontroller nor do I know much about serial communication with µcontrollers in general.

Maybe it's better to have a discussion with manufacturer of your µcontroller - most often they employ some application engineers to help their customers!
