timed loop computer crash

Hi,

if I am using a timed loop on a rt target, and I use an extern reference clock, the computer crashs if I use a frequency more than 100,000 Hz. What could be the reason?

v1212800,

for now just a short hint: Real-Time doesn't mean infinite speed. What you try to do is generating more than 100,000 interrupts per second! In fact I'm surprised that the CPU of the 8176 doesn't crash earlier.
I saw your other questions regarding timed loops and they all indicate that you need a lot of more information to improve your understanding of a real-time system.

Unfortunately I am a bit in a hurry today so I can't answer your other questions but I forward your requests to one of our RT experts. You should get an answer by tomorrow.

Could you please post your system setup (which hardware/software are you using)? This will make it easier for us to give you specific answers.
