synchronising events [help]

I need some help [like I say in subject] because i cannot synchronize 2
events.
I'm sorry for my english, I'll try to be more sharp and correct i can.
I have to handle a "lock" of a measurement bench, this doesn't matter
really, and until the events come i have do to a while cycle, when the
event come a variable (Lock) change its value from false to true.
if I use local variables associated to Lock for stopping the cycle it
doesn't work properly, i mean that with the same frequency it happen
that the cycle could stop immediatly as cuold stop properly, sometimes,
but with a frequency like every 7 or 10 events labview continue cycling
and when it happen there is no way for coming out of the cycle.

PS I tried to use semap
hores but i cannot understand how they exactly
work I think, infact nothing chenghed.

First, let me say that your English is good. Since I have not seen your code, I'm not 100% sure of what you are trying to do. Here are a few comments, if you can not pass data between using local variables you might try changing them to global data. If your using mutiple while loops, each of them are competing for resources. To slow things down just a little, put a Wait state in each while loop which will give each loop a little more time.
