I am having trouble finding what the attached symbol is and what it does in a program that I am using.

It looks like a VI. Bring up the context help (Ctrl+H) and hover over the object. The vi documentation will appear in the floating panel and at least tell you the name of the vi and what inputs and outputs are connected to its terminals.

The context help might not show much, especially if it is just some simple user generated subVI. Just double-click it and look at the diagram and front panel for some hints. (you can even attach it here for a second opinion 😄 )

What is the name of the subVI? What are the names and datatypes of the inputs and outputs? How is it used? Maybe it draws a vertical thick line in a 2D picture or xy-graph?
