Extract from the linked page : LabVIEW 6.x users can find a function (VI) for this job in the Sound and Vibration Toolset palette called...

Because this (very expensive) toolkit isn't installed on my machine, I can't verify my assumption.

Could someone else confirm this ?

Yes the sound and vibration toolkit is needed. You can download a 30 days trail here. IF you use Labview 2010. If not you also have to download a Labview 2010 trail version. It may be you can reverse engineer the VIs needed if they are not protected in some way. Or use DLL calls

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)
