I just started to study Lab view, Í´m trying to build a State machine from  a self paced tutorial. My problem is that I don´t know how to get the icon in pink inside  the case state. I attached a file

Thanks

I believe the pink icon is a local variable for a string indicator.  It is probably from an older version of labview because the icon is different now.  Right click the indicator, Create>>Local Variable.  Drag the icon over to the appropriate case on the block diagram.  Then right click the local variable, Create>>Constant for the constant string.  It's great you are being studious.  Good luck with your learning.

Hi alexber2,

This pink icon is nothing but a 'Local Reference' of the 'Money Deposited' variable. As its a string control so the color is pink.

Just create a string control in any of the state in your diagram and then Right Click on it and make a 'local reference' on the bolack diagram.

Hope you got what you were looking for.

Thanks.
