slow framerate VISION

Hi,

I'm having trouble getting my camera to work properly with the Vision toolkit. I'm trying to acquire a video while taking readings from my DAQ but the video I get is very choppy. Also, when I play it back in WMP the timing is way off: ie: he video length says 10 seconds but plays for 15 seconds.

Any suggestions? I've heard that if I don't use an avi format it can speed it up? Is this true? Thanks.

Hello Sunny,

You can use the IMAQ AVI Create function to set the number of frames per second at which the AVI will play.  This sets the playback speed of the AVI.

You can also try speeding up your VI by compressing the AVI.  See the link below:
Writing a Compressed AVI File with IMAQ Vision
