simulated thermocouple

How do I create a simulated module to mimic the NI 9211?

I would like to be albe to increase and decrease a simulated temperature to test my program with out connecting to my daq9172?

Launch MAX and then

go to   "Device and interfaces->Ni Daqma Device" right clock and select NI Daqmx simulated evice from Create new DAqma device.

Now select 9211 under USB daq (which gets listed under the NI daqmx devices)

The rest if the procedure i hope you are aware of (like creating tasks and other things)

Yes, I have done this but the results when I run the task is not what I expected. I configured it to have 2 inputs, A0 and A1. Both are set for T type thermocouples, 100C max and 0C min. A0 hovers around -270 and A1 from -100 to -4k and is not sinusoidal. These can't be simulated temperatures.

I have created a simulated voltage for a NI 9205 set up for 0 to 10 volts. This gave me a sine wave from o to 10 volts. I can use that. But, the output from the simulated NI 9211 does not make sence.

I had the same issue.  I found that the CJC voltage is assigned somewhat of a random value.  If you set a constant CJC temp then the simulation acts as expected.
