simple question on DAQ

I'm new to working with DAQ boards, and I want to know how I may connect a power supply to the analog input in order to test how it works. What must I connect, just the ACH1, or also a ground signal (which one, I'm using a PCI-6032E and there are 8 AIGNDs), any other signals (+5V,...?)
Thanks.

The user manual has a section called Signal Connections that you should refer to but if you configure the DAQ card for single ended ground referenced, just connect the power supply + output to ACH1 and the - output to one of the AIGNDS.

Hello;

The best way to test a AI channel is by using it as differential input mode. When using a channel as differential mode, you will need to connect the + wire of your signal to the channel number you want (in your case, channel 1) and the - wire to channel x+8 (in your case, channel 9).
You will divide the channel counts by 2, but you will have better results as far as commom rejection mode, and ground loops.
Hope this helps.
