I've been using LABView 8.5 for about a week, and I need help with some signal processing. I have two sinusoidal signals, of different amplitude and phase. So far I've only compared properties like amplitude and phase difference. Could anyone suggest some other useful mathematical relationships between the two signals that LABView can carry out?Could cross-correlation be useful for these signals?
I've attached a screenshot of the two sinusoidal waves.

Well, if the two signals only differ in amplitude and phase (as you've said, and as the JPG shows) then that's the only relationship you can resolve, no matter how much math you throw at it ![]()
Long term patterning, such as you have alluded to with cross-correlation, is a possible thing to look into. These patterns may take several seconds or minutes to resolve, and will rely on something being skewed along the way/
I would look into the PtbyPt (point-by-point) VI's. They are easy to use, and you can quantify stuff over long periods.
