shared variable connection delay

I have a vi on a networked PXI RT system which is posting data to a shared variable.  Whenever I start my interface vi which runs on the host machine, the front panel looks as if it is running but there is a long undesirable delay (1+ minutes) before anything on the front panel actually responds.  The delay seems to be a result of waiting to connect to the shared variable populated by the vi running on the RT system.  After the connection is made, everything works perfectly.

Any ideas as to how I might remove this delay.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Richard,

If this delay is occurring due to deployment of variables, you can turn off the Autodeploy Variables option.  You will only need to deploy your variables once.  Any time you add a new variable, you can right click on the specific variable and select Deploy, or before you run the program, you can choose to deploy all of your variables by right-clicking on your variable library in the Project Explorer and selecting Deploy All.  Please let me know if this does not help your start-up time.

Best of luck on your application, and have a great day!!
