see subvi front pannel when running application built

I have developed an application to control a USB device. There is a subVI that specifically handles communication with the device.
A .exe and installer was built in order to be use in another machine. The problem is that in this machine it doesn't work. How can I see the front pannel of the subVI where error is taking place in order to locate the error? How can the application be debugged once built?

Thanks for your help

Hello Esther...

Have you tried to change the VI properties of the subVI?
Go to "Window Appearance" and click "Customize..."
Then check the "Show front panel when loaded"

Hope that this will help.

Good Luck

If the Front Panel of your target subVI was preserved (i.e. not removed) during the build process (as indicated in the 'VI Settings' tab of the Build Application dialog box), you could use the tool (or the method used by the tool) posted in a LAVA forum awhile back. It's at

If the Front Panel of your target subVI was removed, you can't access it because it's not there.
You could rebuild the app, and this time change the setting to preserve the target subVI's front panel or you can go back to your development version and do as Debonair has described.

As for why your built app isn't working, ma
