searching multiple csv's

Greetings,

I am trying to do the following and I seem to be having issue indexing the data file: (Looks like it's indexing, but fails at the end)

  1. Read from a logfile, pulling the appropriate lines needed
  2. Read from 2 other data files while reading from the main logfile.
  3. Compare relevent data, and generate pass/fail string
  4. Generate a consolidated output file

Here's an example of how I would like my output:

20150121 173302, Pass#, 1, Facets:, 45387, Start facet:, 18, First Facet, 18, ST Count, 45387 ,First Facet Pass, ST Count Pass

Can someone show me the error of my ways? Currently, I'm only getting the first line of the other 2 data files, when I connect the indexing I get 0's.

Also, I'm stuck on a good way to handle potentially missing data?

Thanks!

Here's examples of the input file, some attached:

20150501 200541,Pass# ,1,OPF Count,45387,ST Count,45387
20150501 200542,Pass# ,2,OPF Count,45387,ST Count,45387

I can't look at your code on my phone, so let me just say that the number 1 "error of your ways" is that you are trying to do this with text files. This is an application that simply cries out for a database.

The way you have it set up, you are looking at the same line number in every file on each iteration.  Is that what you want?  Only if your data is aligned the same between through all 3 files would this work.
