I just want to add that you can equally use Open File vi (under advanced file function) to achieve the same purpose. I had the same problem recently this is what I used to fix it, all it requires is the initial file path.
Thank you, Mike.. This is the best so far, although your demo only saves the last data point to disk; it doesn't write constantly to disk (and close the file on completion.) I'll work from this angle for awhile...
Ahah! I find that, if inside the WriteCharactersToFile+.VI, on the WriteFile.VI, I change the T/F to T .. It does write constantly to disk, which is what I wanted.
