That message seems to point to a different problem then the "missing plugin" that Firefox is referring to. I wonder if it is a more accurate message?
Do you have the VI running on the server computer? Do you have web access enabled on that computer?

I have opened the VI file in labview, configured the web server, selected the vi in web publishing tool, saved to disc, clicked connect and ok.
