resize front panel objects

Is there a way to resize a front panel object from the front panel (i.e. set width, height to a specific value from the front panel rather than using property nodes)?

LabVIEW 7 has this feature on the toolbar now. You can also select multiple controls and resize them.

Not that I am aware of. I always used propery nodes before. The new method in LabVIEW 7 is much easier.

Hi Nes,

select the control. From the menu use Edit>>Customize Control.... You have now the control in a new window, the Control Editor. You can resize the control with the mouse the same way as on the front panel. You can also change to the Customize Mode using the left most button in the toolbar. Also you can open from the menu under Windows>>Show Parts Window a new window. In this window you can select each part of the control and you have fields to type in the position and size values. When the control looks the way you want and you will use this control again then change the control to a typedef or strict typedef and save the control. When you close the Control Editor you are asked if you want to replace the current control with the one from the Cont
rol Editor. Answer yes.
Saving the control as typedef or strict typedef has some advantages. You are not allowed to change some of the settings of the control. The control on the front panel has a connection to the typedef and if you change the typedef it will be reflected on all front panels. Read the help about controls, typedefs and strict typedefs to learn how they are different.
If you want to use the control again then use from the Control palette the "Select a control ..." button. Then a File open dialog will appear where you can select the control.
