There is a feature in the works for commenting or ifdef'ing code, but in
many ways, it is the same as the case structure. The output wires of
the structure still need some data, and in most cases, the default is
not what you want. That means wiring across or dropping constants. The
main thing the new structure could allow is to hide a broken subVI or
broken wires from the subVI.
If your code is reasonable spread apart, you should be able to draw the
box around it. Then you switch to the other f
rame and either popup on
the output tunnels and set them to output default, or Create Constant.
If the code inside the cluster is busted, cut it and put it somewhere
else like a scrap VI.
This is the best technique currently available.
