Did you mean:

"Formula" field in arithmetic and comparison appears blank on control panel.

When using the formula function in arithmetic and comparison, it appears to be blank when place on to the control panel. Is anyone aware of this problem and have a solution? I am using OS Windows XP and Labview ver8.5.
Thanks

Where is the Formula Function present in the Arithmetic and Comparison? Smiley Happy

What do you mean by the Control Panel - of Windows or LabVIEW's Block Diagram... ?! Smiley Surprised

Or, do you mean the Formula Node? Smiley Wink

Hi there,

This is a known bug in LV Base edition. Did you upgrade from an evaluation edition by any chance? You need to remove the existing formula VI from the pallette set and then pass in the correct path. See the instructions in the link below and then navigate to the path below and add it to the pallette. this should to the trick, any problems, let me know

it seems that the old working libraries associated with this instance still ship with LabVIEW 8.5, so they can use the following workaround:

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\vi.lib\express\express arith-compare\FormulaBlock.llb\Ex_Inst_Formula

In order to permanently add this to the Functions Palette check out this link LabVIEW Help Topic: Editing a Palette Set.
