quartic equation

I need to create a VI that solves a quartic equation.  One of the values will be changing and I will need to collect the results from the quartic equation each time one of the numbers change.  I need to know if I can solve a quartic equation using labview 7.

Do you have an algebraic representation of the solution? If so, implementing it in LV should be simple. If not, look at the Mathematics section of the functions palette. The Zeroes section has Newton Raphson and other zero finders which should be able to find a numerical approximation to the solution.
