Did you mean:

programatically edit combobox

Need to programmatically edit (add and remove) items from combobox dropdownbox in run-time application.

This must be common task, however both online examples found do not work.

Suggestions?

Umm... that would just hide/show the control. ???

To edit the list of items, just use the String[] property. What examples are you referring to?

Examples that do not work:

This one does not work run-time.

This one simple does not maintain items while editing them.

The first link you provided doesn't point to an example. It points to a generic KB article about some properties and/or methods not being available in the Run Time Engine.

The second link you pointed to is an XControl, not a combobox. Totally different beast. Your original question was how to programmatically add/remove items from a combobox. As noted, this is done by updating the Strings[] property. If you are having problems with that XControl then you need to post in that community page so the author of the control can help.

A five minute example.  It doesn't operate quite like I would expect from a real app, but it illustrates the Strings[] property
