problem with invoke node using Acrobat 7.0

Hi,
for an unknown reason, I did send a message last week, but I cannot see it.
Let me redo it:
I am able to have a vi without errors, but it still doesn't work: On the invoke node, when I link it to the new reference box, the label "IAcroAXDocShim" disappear (see picture).
Regards,
Laurent.

Here is the VI in LV7.0.

Did you select the new ActiveX class on one of the invoke nodes and then rewire the reference right back to the new invoke node ??  That caused the AcroIShim... to disappear for me.  Not sure if that is what happened to you or not.

You are right, this was my mistake. Thanks for your very helpfull support.

Although the vi has no errors, I still cannot open a pdf file. I am investigating.

Thanks again,

Laurent.

I did this VI in 7.1 (you should upgrade it is free to 7.1.1) and I cant save it for a previous version.

But try this.  In your case structure (0-4) replace all the invoke nodes with the Open Acrobat Document.vi from vi.lib > platform > browser.llb.

I did it and it opened on the first try (you will have to remap the paths to the correct pdf's.)

Hello!

I am having the same problems.

I was trying to open an .IOD from Catman (HBM) using an example VI (LV Open_IOD.vi) that I got from the guys from HBM. When I open the file, everything seems fine, but the VI doesn't work. The error messages are:

invoke node: invalid method
invoke node: invalid refnumclass

I using LV 8.2. Does anybody have an idea?
Thanks a lot!
