hello, I would like to develop an app, which would find out the total no. of rows and columns from a given excel sheet and read out the data in the same. I have made use of few vi's I found on forum, but having trouble runing them, can anyone please suggest me what could I be doing wrong? I have never used activex before...

Hi, I would have used the Free Excel Toolkit. See some example with it here, here and here. The library contains premade Excel ActiveX functions. This function right here would have helped you alot:

Do you have this Excel toolkit for LabVIEW 2010? I downloaded and installed the attachments but found errors when using the VI's since they were developed with 2011.
