problem loading bmp files created using visio 2000

Labview 6.0.2, win 2k

The bmp loader vi doesn't appear to load bmp files saved using the visio 2000 package (it works fine for many other packages I have tried - MS paint, MS imaging, MS IE, Adobe Photodeluxe etc)

If someone has come across this problem and knows of a simple solution please let me know. I'm reluctant to have to decipher the bmp formats manually to sort this out.

Thanks in advance.

What's the color depth of the bmp ?

Make sure you use 24 bit or 8 bit. Don't use 16/32 bit.

It's 8 bit colour. If I load the visio bmp and save it again (with exactly the same colour depth settings, size, resolution etc) using a different package then Labview loads it OK.

I've had a quick look at the file headers and the formats are quite different. Obviously the one used by Visio is not one supported by the version of Labview I have.

You're right. Most application, including LabVIEW, doesn't support MS "newly" defined bitmap header.

Try my Image Toolbox. It might work.
