power spectrum density and sampling rates

last two data files as zip since they where too large !

Rohit,

 

Please see this forum thread for an explanation why the power spectrum decreases as you increase the number of samples you are looking at.

 

Essentially, the power spectrum acts a bit like a histogram, as you add more 'bins' in the x-axis, the y-axis value decreases to retain the same area under the graph.
