plot color: line versus points

The color selector when manually changing the color of the plot line gives you a toggle for the line and point color, enabling you to have a different color for the line and the data points.

Looking for a way to do this programmatically if it exists. Currently I can only set the line color.

there are two properties available for a plot: "point/fill color" and "plot color"...
