I have picture images (in labview picture data format) being queued and I am interested in creatiung a movie (any standard format is fine) out of them, IE ca I deque images and append into some video format. I AM NOT USING IMAQ IN THIS APPLICATION. is there a free method for converting images (i can always save teh images as png or jpgs first) to a video that can be played in a standard video player. I would think this is not uncommon to do (ie record images durning an experiment add some overlay to picture and save as a frame in a movie).

Sourceforge JPEG to MJPEG-AVI converter
I don't know if this would be the best tool. But it sounds like it might work.
Did a search for doing this with a python script and hit this page: [SOLVED] Creating AVI from a sequence of BMPs, in python?
I think there's more than one converter right on sourceforge.
Good luck.

Look at the following link:

I'm using that library and it works fine.

Thanks for the information I will evaluate these options.
I wish the avi function of imaq was avaliable in labview alone.
