pathdialog displays only filenames?

Hi,

i try to open a file over the pathdialog, but when i have a long path, the filename was not visible because the display are to short.

Is there any possibility to display only the filename, without the path.

use the strip path Vi to get the file name

it´s a nice idea, but for this i need a  second indicator.

what about using the file dialog vi?
a dialog appears and you can select the file

Could you explain what you mean by "pathdialog"?

If it is just a path control, you can also resize it vertically and the displayed path will then wrap onto several lines if needed.
