out and in port capability

Hello

I have executable file that was build in LabView. (LV 6.1 & Win 98)

The application use the parallel port by Out port vi .

I tried to copy the program to Win 2000 platform,

but it's produce error "capability not supported vi was stopped at node xxx"

what shell I do to work with this application ???

I work with LV6.i on a Win2K system. After installing the "AccessHW Libraries" from the first link, I was able to do parallel output or parallel input operations. After installing these libraries I only had to change the original "out port" VI to the new one.

I can't replace the VI, because it is executible file.

You've got a couple of options. Go back to the vendor that you bought the executable from and pay to have it upgraded for WinNT/2000,XP or change the Win2000 pc to Win98.
