Hi guys, I am just a noob in controls, but I need to learn how to control a cryogenics system, I have research a bit, I would need valves, optocouplers, pressure release, flow meters, etc etc etc... so we will have two different systems, one for controls and one for measurement, so I think I will have a lot of cabling, so which kind of cable you guys suggest me to use in order to afford this ? any noise-reducing cable ? how long? I know that for measurements devices the electric current is the one that I have to take in count, and for controls I need to consider voltage, so which kind of cable you guys recommend me ?

That's a lot of questions I don't think we are going to be able to answer.

The cheapest cable you can get, but don't blame us if it doesn't work as well as it needs to. any noise-reducing cable ? shielded, twisted pair, twisted triple, will all be the best for avoiding electrical noise with the shield grounded at only end. how long? one foot shorter than what you need to get from point A to point B. Remember, measure once, cut twice. I know that for measurements devices the electric current is the one that I have to take in count, and for controls I need to consider voltage, What kind of muddled piece of information is this? so which kind of cable you guys recommend me ? What kind of answers to you really expect us to give? Do you have any kind of electrical background? If not, find someone who does. Read the manuals for all the various devices you are trying to connect and see what they recommend.

As Ravens Fan suggested we will not be able to answer such broad questions. All we could do at this point is guess about what you want or ask a lot of specific questions ourselves.
Are you talking about cooling a cubic centimeter of sample or managing the cryogenics for CERN? Are you talking about liquid nitrogen or liquid helium? ....
If you want someone to design a cryogenic control system for you, you should plan on hiring a consultant and it will not be cheap. There is a substantial amount of art as well as science in working with cryogenics. From the kinds of questions you have asked, it would appear that you have little knowledge yourself of cryogenic systems. If this is the case, you definitely need to find someone who has some experience to work with.

I second (or is it third?) the comments above. Even fairly knowledgeable people still make mistakes, resulting in additional time trying to resolve grounding issues, induced electrical noise, etc. Getting assistance from knowledgeable, experienced experts will make the chances of a successful project much more likely. Remember, even at CERN the LHC was down for months, apparently due to a bad solder connection on a control connector.
