no physical device recognized

I am trying to generate an output signal using the PCI 6229/SCB-68 and the DAQ assistant.  When I enter into the DAQ assistant, I am told that there is no physical device found.  In the Measurement and Automation Explorer, the PCI 6229 device has a red X next to it.  Where do I start to get this working?

First thing, try putting the DAQ card in a different PCI slot and see if it gets recognised.

If this does not work, try unistalling and reinstalling NI DAQ device drivers/MAX on your PC and then check if the card is recognised.
