mysql

Who has any experience with mysql?
Can I use it as a professionel database?
What I need is a solution better than MS Access and cheaper than Oracle.

If you free speaking SQL, use it. LabVIEW haven't got it's direct
support through it's API, only via it's my-odbc driver under Windows and
SQL Toolkit of course.
I've tried to wirite LV CIN to it's API under Linux. It works, but needs
to be developed properly. Database selection questions are not
LabVIEW-related, I think.

Its cheap and its easy. The only thing you might want to get is the ODBC driver if you want to access it over at the windows machines. I'm assuming that you will be installing it on UNIX machine!!!!
yeah but as long as you have the ODBC driver you are good to go and my experience with it is good.
