multiple polar plot

Hello,

in the new version of the toolkit, there is a polar plot control (polar plot.xctl) which include a polar diagramm and a table with checkbox (in the machin vibration palette of the sound &vibration toolkit).

The user car select the curve he wants to plot.

Is it possible to superpose 2 (or more) curves on the polar diagramm ??

If possible, I would like to avoid use the standard polar plot indicator which deals with pictures. (no legend, no line width control...)

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello Mathieu,

Thank you for posting on National Instruments forum,

Using the polar plot (in the SVT), the user has to choose the curve he wants to see, and actually you cannot plot two curves in the same time.

If you don't want to use the standard polar plot indicator, one workaround might be to merge the two curves by concatenating the magnitude array, the phase array and the time array of each curve. But in this case you may encounter trouble to distinguish these curves.

I hope, it helps,

Have a nice day,

Flo

Hello Florent,

thanks for your answer and for your alternative solution, but as you said I can not change the color of the curve if datas are concatened.

Do you know if there is a solution to control properties of the standard polar plot indicator ? (not the command in the SVT)

I would like to be able to add a legend, change the line width and style... I found the "draw legend" Vi in the palette, but the appearence and the properties are very different of the current legend object used with standard graphes.

Do you have any solutions ?

Thanks.

Mathieu
