Amen. If it is in the project directory, zip it and share it. Works every time.

I do the same thing Ben does. In the one main app I have copies of the OpenG VIs I use (a few of the array ones) in a Utility\OpenG directory within my project's hierarchy. I do this for 2 reasons:

  1. As Ben said, so it's there and I don't have to worry about running VIPM to install this third-party software
  2. So its operation is controlled. If the VIs are updated then it may break my code.

Project

Save As --> Duplicate Heirarchy (include all dependencies); doesn't this save all the trouble?

 

This whole (very important) process seemed a bit flawed really..
