mouse wheel scrolling doesn't work on block diagram or front panel

Wow, way to dredge up an old thread! My scroll wheel behaves correctly in LabVIEW2010, 64-bit on Windows 7, 64-bit). I will test it on LabVIEW2011 when I get the chance. I don't know what the solution was almost 5 years ago, but I will also suspect it is a mouse driver issue.

I had the same problem, but my mouse driver has the ability to resolve compatibility issues.  I think the issue is Windows uses smooth scroll and LV used the old 1 line at time (something like that).

I get proper behavior in LabVIEW 2011 64-bit. My mouse is a standard Dell mouse with scroll wheel. 8)

I never had any issues with a regular mouse, only some of the fancier ones.  Both my Logitech and Micro$olft have the ability to change the setting like I showed above to behave fine with LV.  No problems here.

This is a Microsoft wireless mouse 5000.   I installed the driver for it (instead of the built-in one that came with my Windows 7 64-bit) and it works, more or less.  It still isn't as consistent as my logitech mouse, but it is something.

Good ol' Windows 😞

The "Identify programs that don't scroll properly" doesn't show up in the main Mouse/Wheel area.  It is buried in the Microsoft wireless 5000 separate setup GUI.  It works properly now.

Thanks, all.

Same problem on my Microsoft 3000 wireless mouse.  I bought an $8 no-name wireless mouse, shipped direct from China.  It works fine.

Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2000.  I had to identify LabVIEW as an app that doesn't conrol correctly in the configurtion app under the scroll wheel options.  This mouse and keyboard pair is funky and weird.  It technically works, but isn't smooth like the Logitech devices I was using before.
