Dear Sir:
We are having the PCI-7344, the UMI-7764 and Labview 6.0. Can we combine the voice coil with the above module? If we can make all the system work,could you support the informations about how to make the system work? Thank you very much~

I'm not sure what you mean by voice coil, but the UMI 7764 is designed to interface with third party amplifiers to drive motors. It breaks out the signals available from the PCI-7344. If you are using LabVIEW, there are many example programs that ship with the NI-Motion driver. These show how to perform basic motion tasks that you can combine to configure your end application.
More specific questions and an explanation of what you mean by voice coil would be helpful if you have further questions.

Voice coil actuators are direct drive,limited motion devices that utilize a permanent magnet field and coil conductor to produce a force that is proportional to the current applied to the coil.These non-commutated electromanet devices are used in linear and rotary motion applications that require linear force or torque output.
The attachment are kinds of controlling operation of voice coil actuator(VCA).And the problem is we don't know if we can use the PCI-7344,the UMI-7764 and Labview to set up the system with the voice coil actuator.Thank you for your help~

It can be done if you have the correct hardware. I am using SMAC voice coil actuators with a Delta Tau PMAC motion controller and Labview. The voice coil axes are just treated as servos. In other words there needs to be position feedback from your actuator, and the motion controller would adjust the drive signal to hold position or velocity.

You therefore need a driver(amplifier) to convert the controller drive signal to a level that the voice coil could use. If you have that, and some kind of position feedback device, then things will work. Voice coils are very sensitive to tuning, but can be extremely fast and accurate.
