Hi I have an anemometer that I am trying to communicate with via serial interface. I am connected through a USB to 485 converter. The manufacturer of the anemometer has provided two tera term scripts for communicating with the device. When I execute the scripts in tera term the anemometer responds as expected. When I mimic (or so I think I am) the commands in Labview I get no response. Please see the attached document for more information.
I am not familiar with Tera Term Language, but from what I have found on the internet I assume that there is more information being transmitted (the CR & CRLF variables defined by the code2str function), than what is being echoed back on the screen "00TR00012"
Any ideas?
Thanks

It probably is sending a carriage return/line feed. ( or just one or the other).
I suggest using a program such as Portmon while using Teraterm to see what is actually being sent and received.

Thanks RavensFan. I was not aware of this program and it did the trick... lovely. BTW, to others that could use this tool... apparently V3.03 has some issues with the menubar and you may not be able to set it up properly on XP. Version 3.02 works just fine. There are some helpful instructions here for using Portmon:
