micrologix 1100 to labview communications

I have a labview application that is communicating (well was) with an allen bradely micrologix 1100. The PC failed and a new PC has been installed using the old hard drive. I am getting an error now when I try to run the vi. do I need to reinstall the drivers? if so what drivers? how can I tell? The error that I am getting is possible server failure. It is communicating via ethernet. will it communicate through rs lynx? help 8~(

It is very common to use RS-Linx when communicating with AB PLC's.  Did you start RSLinx and verify that it could connect with the PLC?

I did check and RS lynx does see the PLC - still getting the error code - I dont think the communications are set up correctly in NI to use the rs lynx? is this possible

I think you have to have the "OEM" version of RSLynx for Labview to see the PLC registers.

I don't think that is the version that comes with Logix500.

it ran for about 2 years before the computer failed... they took the hard drive out of the failed computer and placed it into another computer. When I look into RS Linx I see the name of the old computer as the workstation, but it will not connect to it for obvious reasons, how can I delete the old workstation and replace with the current one?

thanks you were right, the problem was when the old PC failed we needed to reactivate the rs linx. it was working as rs linx classic lite, the default.
