lvrt.dll error?

The 8.0.1 installer for DSC is located here (http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/E7E0A9231F42E511862570EB0060E7FF?opendocument&node=132070_US ).  It is the same installer for both the DSC development system and the RTS.

Ah! Thank you Robert.

I already download this file, but I didn't know that it was for the RTS also.
Yesturday I uninstall LabVIEW runtime and LabVIEW DSC RTS on the client computer and I reinstall LabVIEW runtime 8.0.1 and LabVIEW DSC RTS 8.0 and I have the same error (lvrt.dll and nids.dll).

Do you think it's going to do a difference if I uninstall LabVIEW completly on the development computer and I reinstall everything after that? It's going to take half of the day if I do that, I don't want to do this if it won't do a difference.

Also, the other day I wanted to upgrade LabVIEW on my computer (8.0 to 8.0.1) and after the mass compile of the National Instruments folder and all my VI, I wanted to built my executable but I had this error: "Error 1003 occurred at ABAPI Dist Chg and Save VIs.vi -> ABAPI Dist Build LLB Image.vi -> ABAPI Copy Files and Apply Settings.vi -> EBEP_Invoke_Build_Engine.vi -> EBUIP_Build_Invoke.vi -> EBUIP_Build_Rule_Editor.vi -> EBUIP_Item_OnDoProperties.vi -> EBUIP_Item_OnDoProperties.vi.ProxyCaller"

I'm a little bit scared to upgrade LabVIEW again because of that.

If I have any other choice to solve my problem, I'll do it...

Thanx again
Stephanie

Stephanie,

The build error you described is one we're aware of in our development team, and is typically seen when using shared variables in sub-VI's.  While we have worked on the issue for the 8.20 release, we do have some workarounds available for 8.0.1:

  • Check the "Enable debugging"option in the "Advanced Category" of the application executable properties.
  • Disable the "Remove Panel" option for all SubVIs containing Shared Variables in the build
  • Try Unchecking the "Disconnect type definitions and remove unused polymorphic VI instances"options also in the Advanced catergory of the executable properties.
  • Move shared variables to the top level VIs and pass the data through the SubVI connector
  • Cheers,
