To get some information on comparisons already done, you can search through the archives of the magazines Test & Measurement World (www.tmworld.com) and Evaluation Engineering (www.evaluationengineering.com). IMHO, none of the other graphical programming languages hold a candle to LabVIEW in terms of support or overall capabilities. I also think that you should throw NI's TestStand into the equation. As a test executive capable of managing tests written in a variety of languages including LabVIEW, VC++, Visual Basic, Delphi, etc., it's been perfect for the company I work for (both in manufacturing and product development).
