Unfortunately, I can't help you with this more directly, as I have removed all instances of anything shockwave, flash, or macromedia from my computer to get rid of those annoying animations from websites.
Try again with the browser and shockwave ActiveX objects. The web browser is called "Microsoft Web Browser". You should be able to control the animation with the "Stop" invoke node, but it may be asynchronous with the browser, which means using a shockwave object.
Unfortunately, as I am thus far aware, there isn't much documentation available for ActiveX objects. I think if you had a copy of MSDN (you can get a version for MSVS 6 for fairly cheap on e-bay) you may be able to find proper documentat
ion. MS's website is terrible for this kind of support. I guess they figure you have to pay thousands for their SDKs to get good documentation just to do a simple task such as this. Perhaps someone out there somewhere has experience with these objects and will post here.
Good luck, sorry I can't be of any better assistance. If I were doing this, I would just sit there playing with it for hours until I got results. Thats how I mad the "Movie.vi".
