Solved!
Go to solution

Hi

I web published my programming using LabVIEW 8.6 by my laptop.

I can see it through a web brower in my laptop, but I can not connect to it using another desktop.

could any one help me to solve this problem?

Thanks

Cynitha,

If you can view the VI in your browser on your laptop then that means that you published the web page correctly and that the web server is running.

If you can't see it from another computer then you are having network issues. Your firewall on your laptop is probably rejecting the connection.

Thanks for reply, Nathan.

is there any method to overcome firewall except turning it off?

Thanks

That depends on your individual firewall software. Firewalls always have some way of configuring exceptions.

Consult your firewall's documentation.

Plz go to labview>>tools>>options>>web server configuration>>http port = 80

Sometime, port 80 will be occupied by other monitoring software.

Try to change to 81 or 82..etc

Hi awkh38,

In LabVIEW8.6, I go to tools > web publishing tool > select a VI that I want to webcast, then basically click some "next" and "finish".

for web server: configuration, I go to tools > options > web server: configuration > enable web server

for web server: browser access, the browser address is *, and I allow viewing nad controlling.

I think different versions of LabVIEW may have little difference in broadcast setting, I hope this piece of info helpful. 🙂

Hi NathanK,

thanks for reply.

I unbound LabVIEW in my laptop from the firewall, but I still can not see the broadcast LabVIEW programming via Internet.

could you give me some suggestion?

Thanks

Plz goto labview>>help>>find examples>>browse>>Browse according to Task>>Industry Applications>>process control>>Tank simulation.vi
And
go to Tools>>web publishing tool>>VI name=Tank simulation.vi
Viewing mode>>
embedded
check>>request control when connection is established
next>>next>>save to disk>>connect
your IE will pop-up.
If no, then try another computer, try another lab computer, try your home computer. try very clean computer.
