labview 8.0 tdm "flush" to force OS to write to disk

Hello,

I'm using a producer loop for data acquisition and a consumer loop to write it out to a TDM file.  The WindowsXp page file increases from @480MB to @2GB which is no good.

I am using LabVIEW 8.0 and do not have the TDMS functions available to me.  As I understand it, there is a flush function for the TDMS that forces the OS to write to the disk immediately, thereby freeing the buffer that was holding the data.  Is there a way to do this in Labview 8.0?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

It appears from your post here that you have upgraded to LabVIEW 8.2 and are now using the TDMS VIs.  However, I wanted to point out the G TDMS VIs available for LabVIEW 7.1 and 8.0 in case those might be useful.
