labview 2013 cannot use event structure

Event structure can be added into the back panel, however when i add event case or try to edit the default event case, the program is crask and cannot response to my mouse.

when i launch windows task manager, it present " running" properly.

However this program run properly at my another computer with sample Win7 OS.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Post the code.  The only thing we can do is speculate.

sir, this issue does not related to code, even i create new empty VI, the event structure cannot work properly, i cannot add new event or edit the default even!

However, i installed the same eval version into my another computer, this event structure can work properly, both computers use same Win 7 OS.

Okay in that case I would recommend a repair install of LabVIEW.

I tried to re install the software, it does not work, so i suspect whether or not this issue is related to the system setting...

We had a recent case here in the forum where the event configuration window placed itself outside the visible monitor area. Check if this helps you.

Hi Aaron,

A couple of questions- when you say it doesn't work, is the dialog opening but just drawing blank? What computer are you using? What OS?

I saw a case like this recently with an Acer Aspire One where the screen resolution was smaller than the minimum system requirements for LabVIEW (1024x768 is the minimum requirement) and the dialog was not able to draw correctly. You can test this by increasing your screen resolution to above the minimum requirement to see if that fixes the dialog. Another possibility is the computer DPI settings, some manufacturers helpfully ship their computers with non-standard DPI settings, so this is also worth checking (Control Panel>Appearance and Personalization>Display).

Hope that helps,
