japanese chararcteres

Hello,

I'm trying to display text in Japanese on a front panel.

Obviously there is a problem in characters orientation.

System and sytem fonts are configured as described in Document ID:34HAOK5L from NI WebSite

The text displayed in the string control is copied from NI Japan website and all japanese characters are rotated by 90°.

What should we do to have them correctly oriented ( i.e like on NI Japan site) ?

Hi,

I do not really understand what is going on.... In the example you gave, you forgot to save the current value as defaults so we can not see the problem. Nothing appears in the command string!

I tried to reproduce the problem but I do not encounter any issue. (I followed in details the KB).  I joined the VI I used.

sorry about the "default" setting in the control.

The problem is solved here. It is a problem of application font settings. Using System or FixedSys font show the characters in the good orientation.
