interpolate problem

HI!

I have a question. How would it be possible to interpolate an larger area, like the picture in the attachement. Is it possible to inpolate the two jags??

Best regards,

Peter

Well, you can doa linear interpolation but that won't bring much.

Otherwise you kind of need to know what shape the under-sampled feature SHOULD have before interpolating (Gauss for example).

Why do you need to interpolate this?

Hope this helps

Shane.

HI Shane!

This curve describes the geometry of an object. Due to the fixing gear ( to fix the object in the machine) there are two jags and they are not required. I want a curve without those jags. Would it be probably possible to solve this problem with a lowpass filter??

Best regards,

PETER
