Hi all

I have developed a system which uses labview evaluation version . My question is that is there any way to patent my

system on NI ?

You don't patent things "on NI". Patents are issued through whatever patent system is implemented in the country you live in. In the US it's done by the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Also, you can't patent something unless you have truly invented it. You can't patent software because it isn't an invention. But you can copyright software.

Why would it matter what version you were using? Are you telling us that you started programming from scratch less than 30 days ago and now you found the holy grail that everybody was looking for since the invention of computers? What does your program do? End world hunger?? 😮

What is "a system"??? An algorithm? A new "look and feel" UI? A hardware interface?

How do you know it hasn't been done before?

Read this: Software patent article for some ideas.

Also please use a descriptive title in posts so things make more sense.

"information required" is way too generic and would probably apply equally to 100% of all questions here. Any answer is "information" one way or another. Right? 🙂

A better titile would at least contain the word "patent". 😉
