increase output voltage

Hi there

Im usings a NI PXI-6723 with output -10 to +10V

if i wanted 0 - 20 V is it ok to place a +10V powersupply in series to offset the votage? can the card handle the voltage?

also, how can i extend the range to say -15+15V?  or even -50 +50V?

Hi Labviewuser3,

The 6723 cannot accept an external reference to adjust the analog output voltage range, as mentioned on page A-6 of the Analog Output Series User Manual.  To extend the range you would need to use an external amplification circuit.

Labviewus,

If you need a DC ouput I would suggest a power supply that has an analog input to control the output voltage.  Use LV to drive the analog input and command the output voltage you desire.

If you need AC, build an amplifier as John P suggested.
