idea for grouping in 1D numeric series

I'll ask again, once you have found an index, what do you want to do? Display the numbers, separate into different arrays, make an offering to the devil?

I am not really looking for a lot of style points for this sub-vi free implementation, but this vi will do what (I think) you want to do.  It generates an irregular array followed by a repeated pattern.  It will then extract the repeating pattern and return the different parts.  I haven't figured out how to make an offering to the devil, that will have to be a different thread.
